Our grandsons Brandon and Cody will be receiving their Eagle Scout Awards on Saturday, November 23rd. This is so awesome. We really wish we could be there to celebrate with them. Congratulations!Our Grandson Garret got his braces off!!! What a handsome boy!Cecil and I spent some time at his daughters house fixing a couple of electrical things (Cecil is an electrical engineer and has done a lot of re-wiring. I'm a good gopher! And I can still get on a ladder!) I struggled getting ceiling tires back in. I think Cecil came up with a solution - we're going back to check it out!Cecil, Martha & Tom - 3 Garrow siblings. Their parents were some of the first members in the area many years ago.Christmas music that our choir director used to teach her elementary students - I think we can actually sing this music - we are few but we are mighty!Sister Penrod, Wiese and Potts have dinner at Jimmy's house. Jimmy has been learning about the church - Sister Spear took the picture!We spiral bound 184 Ensigns last week. The mission president likes to hand out the General Conference issues to the missionaries - we got one from April General Conference and loved them. We have about another 100 to finish up this week! We delivered the 184 Ensigns to Elder & Sister Lovett in Harrisville - about and hour and a half from Massena.We visit a 94 year woman at a nursing home and they have birds to entertain them.We got a good group together this week to help Sharon move. I was actually busy helping and forgot to take pictures, but got a few. Top left: Chris, Hunter and Dale. (Dale has been meeting with the Sisters and Hunter is his grandson.) Top right: John Sterling brought his truck to help haul things. If you will notice, they all are eating cinnamon rolls made by Karen - that's a great reward - you would know that if you've ever had any of them. Bottom picture: Sister Dilulio who is from Italy was on exchanges from Lake Placid and got to help! We want to thank everyone who turned out to help - truly many hands make fast and light work for all.Guess whose birthday it was this week? Lots of fun birthday wishes from the Grandkids.

Chocolate covered strawberries - a very yummy birthday gift.Michelle sent some of her yummy home made cranberry sauce with Karen's birthday cards (and Circus Peanuts) for Thanksgiving Dinner. I convinced Karen it was really for me!Karen got to volunteer at the Nature Center on her birthday.The Nature Nuts learned about crows this week.Look closely for the Bluebird at the feeder. It looks brown and we learned why: There actually is no such thing as a blue bird. ... “Blue is different―no bird species can make blue from pigments. The color blue that we see on a bird is created by the way light waves interact with the feathers and their arrangement of protein molecules, called keratin. Add the snow to the mix - and it's hard to see the bird...but when it flew away, it totally looked blue!Well, we subjected you to months of beautiful northeast foliage and now...it's going to be snow!!! We got our first snow storm of the year. Yikes! It's going to be a long winter. (With lots of snowy pictures for you!)
Another busy week in Paradise. Non-pictured activities: District Council in Potsdam - reporting and training - lots of role playing BYU PathwayConnect Preparation and Gathering Bible Study – Samuel - Old Testament Prophet Piano Lessons for two children in the branch Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner after church Watched Face to Face for Children and Youth with Elder Gong Lots of visits and delivering of treats to members and friends of the church. Dinner to Sister Webber while she was in the middle of moving Feed the missionaries - always one of the highlights of our week Role playing with Elder’s Quorum President – just trying to get better at all the things we have to do. Took Chris to Potsdam for Doctor’s Appointment Branch Council Helped Sister Webber move some boxes with Ministering Brother Craig. Helped Sister Webber pack more boxes for the move. Young Women Mission-wide video conference call – we discussed Light the World and the NEW Missionary Handbook that will become effective in February 2020
